Balancing the surround sound
You can further improve surround sound performance
by balancing the levels from the subwoofer, center and
surround speakers relative to the front left/right
speakers. To help you judge the sound level of each
speaker a test tone is played through each speaker in
turn (make sure that there are no headphones
connected). Adjust the levels until they all sound equal.
The levels you set here will apply to all surround modes.
However, you can set levels independently for each DSP
mode (see page 69 for more on this).

Note
It may not be possible to accurately adjust the
subwoofer level using this method. You may prefer to
leave it on its default setting and adjust it to your liking
later when playing surround-sound sources.
Press SURROUND.
STANDARD
The surround mode can be set to anything except
SURROUND OFF
or
AUTO
(No test tone is output if
the surround mode is set to either of these settings.)
Set the volume to a moderate level.
Press TEST TONE (SHIFT and CLR) to
start the test tone then adjust the master
volume to a suitable level.
The test tone plays through each speaker in turn:

Center
l
Front right
l
Surround right

Surround left

Vous pouvez ameliorer la performance du son surround
en equilibrant les niveaux des enceintes subwoofer,
centrale et surround relatives aux enceintes avant
droite/gauche. Pour vous aider a juger du niveau du
son de chaque enceinte, un test de tonalite' est lu B
travers chacune d'entre elles a tour de r6le (verifiez
qu'aucun 6couteurs ne sont raccorde's). Ajustez les
niveaux jusqu'a ce qu'ils soient tous e'gaux.
Les niveaux que vous re'glez ici seront applicables B tous
les modes surround. Cependant, vous pouvez regler des
niveaux independamment de chaque mode DSP (voir
page 69 pour plus de details).

Remarque
11 se peut que vous ne puissiez pas ajuster correctement
le niveau du subwoofer en utilisant cette me'thode. VOW
pouvez le laisser au re'glage par defaut et l'ajuster selon
votre pre'fe'rence a la lecture de sources sonores
surround.
Appuyez sur SURROUND.
STANDARD
Vous pouvez faire tous les reglages du mode surround B
l'exception de
SURROUND OFF ou AUTO.
(Aucun
test de tonalite n'est fourni si le mode surround est r&g16
B l'un ou l'autre de ces reglages.)
RCglez le voume a un niveau mod&C.
Appuyez sur TEST TONE (SHIFT et CLR)
pour demarrer le test de tonalite puis
ajustez le volume principal a un niveau
approprie.
Le test de tonalite' lit a travers chaque enceinte a tour de
role :
