Solution
Subject is too dark or too bright.
Image was not created with D700.
• NEF (RAW) or NEF+JPEG image
quality option selected for image
quality.
• Multiple exposure mode is in
effect.
A (auto) is selected for sharpening,
contrast, or saturation. For
consistent results over a series of
photographs, choose a setting
other than A (auto).
• Autoexposure lock is in effect.
• Camera is in live view mode.
Choose exposure mode e, f, or g.
Reddish areas and uneven textures
may appear in long time-
exposures. Turn long exposure
noise reduction on when shooting
at shutter speeds of "A".
Lower built-in flash.
