Quick Start Guide

This guide provides fi rst-time users with information on taking
photographs with the D7000 and on installing and using the
supplied software. Complete information on using your Nikon
digital camera can be found in the User's Manual and in the
help menu of the supplied software application.

Confi rm that the package contains the following items:

Purchasers of the lens kit option should confi rm that
the package also includes a lens. Memory cards are sold
separately.

Charge the battery.
Plug the battery charger in and insert the battery. An
exhausted battery will fully charge in about two hours
and 35 minutes.

First Steps

Attach the strap.
Attach the strap securely to the two eyelets on the camera body as shown below.

Check to be sure the battery is in the correct orientation.

Viewing and Deleting Photographs
To view photographs: Press K.
To delete the current photograph:
Press O twice.
To view other pictures, press the
multi selector left or right.
Recording Movies
Rotate the live view switch q and press the
movie-record button w to start recording.
To end recording, press the movie-record
button again. See page 57 of the User's
Manual for more information.
