This chapter shows you how you can cap the maximum bandwidth allowed from specific
source(s) to specified destination(s) using the Bandwidth Control screen.

12.1 Configuring

Bandwidth control means defining a maximum allowable bandwidth for incoming and/or out-
going traffic flows on a port. Click Advanced Application and then Bandwidth Control in
the navigation panel to bring up the screen as shown next.

Bandwidth Control
DESCRIPTION
Select this check box to enable bandwidth control on the switch.
This field displays the port number.
Make sure to select this check box to activate bandwidth control on a port.
Specify the maximum bandwidth allowed in megabits per second (Mbps) for the
incoming traffic flow on a port. Enter a number between 1 and 1000.
Specify the maximum bandwidth allowed in megabits per second (Mbps) for the out-
going traffic flow on a port. Enter a number between 1 and 1000.
