2. Move your finger on the screen to guide the object to its new location.

Moving an Object with the Mouse

1. Click on the object to select it.
2. Drag the object to its new location.

Moving an Object Using the Keyboard

Each single arrow key press moves the object by one-tenth of an inch, so the procedure
above works well for moving objects a small amount. If you hold down the arrow key, the
moving process goes a little faster. But to move objects by a greater amount, use the Moving
an Object Using the Keyboard - The Fast Method procedure.
1. Select the object.
2. Press an arrow key on the keyboard.
3. Keep pressing the arrow key, or hold the arrow key down, until the object is where you
want it.

Moving an Object Using the Keyboard - The Fast Method

To move an object faster and farther than described in Moving an Object Using the
Keyboard, complete the following steps (and remember that you can always use the Undo
feature under the Edit menu or on the toolbar to reverse your last action).
1. Select the object.
2. Press Shift.
3. Press an arrow key. Your object will move quickly in the direction of the arrow you
pressed.
