Reading A Directory From A PR Tape

Your VCR can read the directory of a PR (pre-recorded)
tape and store it in the library.
Preparation
1. Turn on the power to the TV and the VCR.
2. Set the TV to the channel or mode appropriate for
video playback.
3. Insert a PR tape.
Procedure
1 Press INDEX Plus+. The following screens appear:
READING TITLES...
PRESS(CANCEL)TO ABANDON
The number at the center of the screen shows the
number of titles that have been read.
MUSIC TV
>SPEND THE NIGHT
NOW AND FOREVER
IN DREAMS
TRUE LOVE
AGAIN
(PLAY)(STOP)
PRESS(INDEXPlus+)TO EXIT
Press F3.
2 The following screen appears:
TO SAVE DIRECTORY OF
TAPE IN VCR'S MEMORY
QUIT
To save the PR tape's directory in the VCR's library,
press F4. Or press F3 to return to the previous
screen.

3 Once you press F4, a new tape number is
automatically assigned and the following screen
appears:
>MUSIC TV
SPEND THE NIGHT
NOW AND FOREVER
IN DREAMS
TRUE LOVE
AGAIN
(PLAY)(STOP)
PRESS(INDEXPlus+)TO EXIT
The PR tape's directory is now stored in the VCR's
library.
To return to the normal screen, press INDEX Plus+.
4 Press STOP/EJECT to take the tape out. When
ejecting a tape to which a number has just been
automatically assigned, the following screen
appears:
PLEASE LABEL THE TAPE
TAPE#
IF OK,PRESS(ENTER)
IMPORTANT
Before you press ENTER to clear the screen,
write the tape number on the tape label. This will
help to eliminate accidents and confusion later.
NOTES:
If the VCR cannot read the directory, "FAILURE"
appears on screen. Re-perform the procedure from
step 1.
Depending on the condition of the tape, the VCR
may not be able to read the directory.
