Wall Thermostat
WARNING:
Turn the gas control valve to off and make sure the appliance has fully cooled prior to
conducting service.
N O T E :
Do not connect 120 VAC to the gas control valve or wiring of this unit.
1
Cut the quick-connects off of the thermostat wire. Expose approximately 1/4" of wire from the wires
and attach to the upper and lower terminals on the gas control valve (see the illustration below).
2
Route the wire to the rear of the stove. Determine a location for the thermostat that is within range of
the 50' length of thermostat wire. It should be centralized in the room and away from the heater. The
wire may be routed externally on the wall or behind the wall (preferred).
3
Cut the thermostat wire so there is approximately 6" of slack (NOTE: Do not splice thermostat wires
together–this leads to too much electrical resistance). Follow the directions below to install the

thermostat.

d
Attach the thermostat to
the wall through these
two holes.
e
Re-attach the cover
removed in step "a".
4
Set the on/off switch on the stove to "Off". If turned to "On" the stove will remain on always.
