Cause Check Point
Friction of the PF roller. Check if the PF roller rotates when paper is
not fed.
Abnormal operation of the Check movement of the ASF hopper

Malfunction of ASF drive Check if the ASF gear rotates visually.

Friction of the PF roller. Check if the PF roller slips during paper
feeding.
ASF sensor is defective. Check the signal level of the ASF sensor.

PE sensor is defective. Check the signal level of the PE sensor.

HP sensor is defective. Check the signal level of the HP sensor.

Head FFC is disconnected. Check if the head FFC is connected.
CR motor is defective. Check the CR motor cable is connected.
PF motor is defective. Check if the PF motor cable is connected.

Solution
Clean the PF roller by the cleaning
sheet. Replace the PF roller if it
does not recover.
Replace ASF.
Replace gears of the ASF drive
change-over.
Clean the PF roller by the cleaning
sheet. Replace the PF roller if it
does not recover.
Replace ASF sensor.
Replace PE sensor.
Connect the head FFC.
Replace the CR motor if there is no
problem in the cable connection.
Replace the PF motor if there is no
problem in the cable connection.
