1. Press the Menu button on the projector remote control.
2. Select Default > Clear Filter Usage.
The meter returns to zero. You won't receive a "Please Clean Filter" message for 100 hours.
Replacing the Projector Lamp and Filter
Even though the lamp may still be working, you should replace your projector lamp after 2,000
hours of normal mode operation or 3,000 hours of eco-mode operation to maintain optimal
performance. At the same time, replace the air filter with the new one that comes with the
replacement lamp.
Order the NEC VT75LP (for the 2000i-DVS) or NEC VT70LP (for the 2000i-DVX) standard lamp
from NEC. Alternatively, you can order the same lamps from your SMART dealer. Ask for SMART
P/N 01-00161 (for the 2000i-DVS) or SMART P/N 01-00162 (for the 2000i-DVX). Do not use any
other lamps.
NOTES:
•
The projector will turn off and go into standby mode after 2,100 hours (3,100 hours in eco
mode). If this happens, you should replace the lamp immediately.
•
Always replace the lamp when you see this message: "The lamp has reached the end of its
usable life. Please replace the lamp."
To find out how many hours of lamp use remain, press the Menu button on the projector or its
remote control and select Information > Page 1 > Remaining Lamp Time. Replacing the used
lamp with a new lamp clears the lamp usage hours automatically.
To replace the lamp and filters, follow the instructions below. When you finish, you should reset the
lamp hour meter as described on page 50 of the NEC VT470/570/670 User's Manual.
WARNING
To avoid an electric shock, do not remove any screws except the two lamp-case
screws.
