Some quick and easy tips to resolving problems when using the Presentation
TV as a Computer Monitor
Symptoms
Computer Image
Poor or no
computer picture.
Local interference.
Fuzzy computer
picture.
Poor computer
picture.
'Front Computer
SVGA' does not
appear in
Source menu.

Possible Cause(s)
• Poor Connections.
• TV/Computer not turned On.
• Wrong TV source selected.
• 800 x 600 @60 HZ not set.
• TV not adjusted to computer.
• Cable over 25 feet.
• Installer menu set incorrectly. -Check Installer menu item 41-I setting.
• Check for disturbing source.
• Appliance too close to TV
or computer.
• 800 x 600 @60 HZ not set.
• Computer display output is
not optimized.
• Auto Sense Source setup.
Probable Solution(s)
-Check all cable connections.
-Turn TV/Computer On.
-Select the proper TV source the computer is
connected to.
-On the Computer, set display output to
800 x 600 @60 Hz.
-Wait until TV adjusts to computer image.
-Set up Computer/TV where an excessively long
cable is not required.
The following may cause image problems or
distortion: Electrical appliances, powerful lights,
cars, trucks; computers or portable phones;
medical equipment.
-If possible increase the distance between your
TV, the computer and offending appliance. Or
turn one of them off.
-On the computer, set display output to
800 x 600 @60 Hz.
-See page 13 for instructions to optimize
computer's image.
-Set Installer item 041 to '0' for Front
Computer SVGA to appear in Source menu.
-Set Installer item 041 to '1' to make the
front Computer In port Auto Source Sensing.
