Scanning from the TWAIN Interface

Scanning from the TWAIN
Interface
You can scan from any TWAIN scanning application instead of
scanning from the One Touch buttons on your scanner or the One
Touch button panel.
(Model 4800TA only) Your scanner uses the TWAIN interface to
scan 35mm slides and negatives. See the section "Scanning
35mm Slides and Negatives (Model 4800TA only)" on page 29.
A Note About Your Scanner and the TWAIN standard: TWAIN is
a widely recognized standard that computers use to receive
images from scanners, digital cameras, and other digital devices.
The TWAIN scanning interface can be accessed from any TWAIN
scanning application you have installed on the computer.
Applications such as Nuance PaperPort and ArcSoft
PhotoImpression, which were provided with your scanner, and
many other applications, can use the TWAIN interface for
scanning. This section describes how to use the TWAIN interface
for scanning by accessing it from PaperPort and from One Touch.
NOTE:
Please note that the steps to access the TWAIN
interface from PaperPort are used as an example only.
If you want to use another TWAIN application for scanning, see its
User Guide for instructions to access the TWAIN interface, select
your Xerox scanner to scan, and how that application saves files.
Regardless of the application you use to access the TWAIN
interface, the scanning method is the same so you can use the
instructions in this User's Guide to scan.
