Front Panel Cables Installation Procedures

Connect New Front Panel Cables to Server Board

1. Open the Front Panel Cables package that is part of the FMJCABLES2 Cable Kit. Route the
front panel cables along the side of the chassis in the same way the original cables were routed.
2. Connect the primary IDE cable, labeled J2J2, to the server board. The primary IDE cable has a
blue metal sheath and the connector on the front panel is also blue. See letter "A" in Figure 20.
3. Connect the secondary IDE cable, labeled J1J4, to the server board. See letter "B" in Figure 20.
The secondary IDE cable has a white metal sheath and the connector on the front panel is also
white.
4. Connect the front panel cable, labeled J1J2, to the server board. See letter "C" in Figure 20.
