SATA Cables Installation Procedures

Remove Backplane Board from Housing

1. Use a Number 1 size Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws at each side of the
backplane board to release the backplane board from the metal housing. See letter "A" in
Figure 11. Set these screws aside. They will be re-installed later.
2. Remove the backplane board from the metal housing. See letter "B" in Figure 11.
CAUTION
Use caution while lifting the backplane board so you do not cut yourself
on sharp edges.
3. Remove all SATA cables from the backplane board. See letter "C" in Figure 11.
