Disco n n ect the sta rte r re lay switch con n ecto r a n d remove
the m a i n fuse (30 A).
Reco n n ect the co n n ecto r o nto the re lay switc h.
C o n n ect the a m m eter betwee n the fuse h o l d e r term i n a l s
as shown.
Sta rt the engine a n d i ncrease the engine speed g ra d u a l ly
a n d check that the voltage a n d a m pe re a re reg u l ated .
CAUTION
Be careful not to short any tester probes.

Although the current could be measured when the
•
ammeter is connected between the battery positive
terminal and the positive cable, a sudden surge of
cu rrant to the sta rter motor could damage the
ammeter.
Always turn the ignition switch OFF when conduct­
•
ing the test. Disconnecting the ammeter or wire
when currant is flowing may damage the ammeter.
N OTE

e l ectrica l eq u i p m e nt s h o u l d b� OFF.
U se fu l ly c h a rged batte ry to m a ke this test i n order

to get a correct measurement.

wi re h a rness side.
