    10.0 OPERATION WARNING When lit for the first time, the appliance will emit a slight odour for a few hours. This is a normal temporary condition caused by the curing of the logs and the “burn-in” of internal paints and lubricants used in the manufacturing process and will not occur again. After extended periods of non-operation such as following a vacation or a warm weather season, the appliance may emit a slight odour for a few hours.

    11.0 ADJUSTMENT 11.1 VENTURI ADJUSTMENT WARNING CARBON CAN BE DISTRIBUTED IN SURROUNDING LIVING AREA IF THE AIR SHUTTER IS IMPROPERLY ADJUSTED. 49.5 This appliance has an air shutter that has been factory set open according to the chart below: VENTURI BURNER Regardless of venturi orientation, closing the air shutter will cause a more yellow flame, but can lead to carboning.
