F. Image Memory
The machine is equipped with an image memory, and image data is stored in it (memory
copying) except when making one copy of one original (direct copying). The image memory
consists of a page storage area, in which compressed image data is stored on a page-by-page basis,
and a work area, in which images read by the scanner is stored temporarily for rotation or
compressed data (after processing) is stored temporarily.
