Checking Unit Condition

Shoulder Strap

Adjust the shoulder strap so the shoulder
pad rests comfortably on the off-side

Operating With A Blade
WARNING!
Always wear a shoulder strap when
operating this unit with a blade. A
shoulder strap is also recommended
when using trimmer line.
NOTE:
Using a shoulder strap when operating
this unit with a blade allows you to
maintain proper control of the unit and
reduces fatigue during extended
operation.
Hold the trimmer so the trimmer head
is angled slightly into the area to be cut.
To ensure maximum trimmer-line
service life, cut only with the tip of the
trimmer line. Cut
grass by swinging
the trimmer from
left to right. Keep
the trimmer head
horizontal. See
Figure 24.
