Brake Inspection

The brake lever reserve should
be inspected frequently. Mea-
sure the clearance between the
lever and handlebar grip. In-
spection should be made with
the lever firmly depressed. Le-
ver reserve (A) should be no
less than 1/2" (1.3 cm).
Replacement of brake pads will
be necessary when the brake
pad material is thinner than the
backing plate approximately
(1/16"). A kit is available for re-
placing brake pads. See your
dealer.

Excessive Lever Travel
The snowmobile's hydraulic brakes are self-adjusting. If excessive brake pad
