GT (Gran Tourismo) vehicles are
also pure-bred race cars. How-
ever, these must be based on a
road-legal sports car, only parts
of which may be modified.
In 2009, Porsche was represented
on the starting line by the
911 GT3 RSR. Its 4.0-liter Boxer
engine delivers 450 hp and a
maximum torque of 318 lb.-ft.
Porsche builds the race-ready
vehicles and supports customer
teams through development,
technical service and by
supplying Porsche Factory
drivers.

of Nürburgring and class wins in
the ALMS, LMS and the FIA-GT,
