LEDs are also used for the rear
direction indicators, taillights
and brake lights, the additional
brake light in the rear lid and
the rear fog lights. These provide
better illumination and respond
more quickly to driver input so
that following traffic is alerted
earlier. They are energy efficient,
eco-friendly and have a longer
service life than conventional
bulbs – as well as an unmis-
takable design, day or night.
Dynamic cornering lights.
Available as an option, dynamic
cornering lights provide particularly
effective illumination of the road.
Sensors permanently monitor
the speed, lateral acceleration
and steering angle and, from these
variables, calculate the course of
the curve.

This determines the angle of the
dynamic cornering lights, with
low beams able to swivel outwards
up to 15 degrees. So the course
of the road and obstacles can be
identified much sooner, particularly
during corners.
