Signals Compatible with DENON LINK Setting and Transmission
The DENON LINK setting for the DENON LINK version of the connected AV Amp is as follows:
Setting items
XLR
Set the signal to be output
from the XLR terminal.
Audio Setup
Setting contents
[Terminal Polarity] : Set the polarity of the XLR terminal.
• N.o.rm.a.I :
Normal polarity
• Inversion: Reverse the polarity.
[Gain Up] : Can increase output gain when the input sensitivity of a
device connected via XLR is low.
• Qfl:
Outputs at standard gain from the XLR terminal.
• On : Increase the output gain of the XLR terminal. Set when the input
sensitity of the connected device is low.

The default DVD-A 1UDCI balance model XLR audio connectors pin
alignment is as shown.

With DENON LINK connections, no audio signals other than those of SO are output from the HDMI
terminal.
(When "DENON LINK Mode" is set to "2nd" and "HDMI Setup" - "SA-CD Audio Out" (G"'page 26) is set
to "On", the audio signals of Super Audio CD are output from the HDMI terminal.)

Makes settings regarding digital audio and video output modes during Pure Direct mode,
as well as display messages. Two types of setting can be registered,

Set the audio output of
DENON LINK.
Setting contents
[Qtt] :
Do not use DENON LINK.
[2nd] :
Output digital audio using DENON LINK 2nd Edition.
[3rd] : Output digital audio using DENON LINK 3rd Edition.
[4th] :
Output digital audio using DENON LINK 4th Edition.
Compatible with jitter-free connection. For more information, refer to
"DENON LINK Connection

• HDMI1 : Improve HDMll digital signal jitter.
• HDMI 2 : Improve HDMI2 digital signal jitter.

• When set to "4th", the HDMI control function becomes available from
the connected device.
• When "4th" is set and jitter-free connection is set up, audio affected
by the jitter-free function is output from the HDMI terminal during
BD playback. When playing back media other than that, video signal
is output from the HDMI terminal and audio signal is output from the
DENON LINK terminal. respectively.
• To play DENON LINK 4th signals, connect to a DENON LINK 4th-
compatible AV Amp using an HDMI and a DENON LINK cable.

AVAmp.

Setting contents
[Digital Out] : Set whether to output signals to the digital audio output
terminal.
• On..:
Enable digital audio output.
• Off : Disable digital audio output.
[Video Out] : Set option of video output.
• Qn :
Enable video output.
• Off : Disable video output. This setting also disables audio output from
the HDMI terminal.
[Display] : Set option for front panel display.
• Qn :
Turn on display.
• Off: Turn off display.
