  • Page 7 CAUTIONS IN SERVICING Initi i in BD p BD player initiali ation should be performed when the com, peripheral parts of com, and MAIN P.W.B. were replaced. 1. Turn on this model s power. "NO DISC" is displayed on the FL tube. 2. P ress the this model s 2 and DISC LAYER buttons simultaneously. "INITIALI IN " is displayed on the FL tube. 3. T he display on the FL tube switches to "INITIALI ED", the "NO DISC" display reappears and initiali ation is completed. Note •If step 3 does not work, start over from step 1. • A ll user settings will be lost and this factory setting will be recovered after the set is initiali ed.   • Page 13 DIAGNOSTICS OF OPTICAL PIC UP d Make failure diagnostics of the Optical Pickup as follows. q If the laser drive current (Iop) becomes more than BD : 6 mA , DVD or CD : 12 mA of the initial value, the Optical Pickup should be replaced. The laser drive current initial value is checked by "Iop checked Method" of ne t page. w L oad five times of following disc again and playing it for one minute. It becomes the aim of the Optical Pickup e change when it cannot play. BD-RE ABD-RE 40W(made by ALMEDIO) In case of replacing the Pickup, change the whole part of the BD MAIN UNIT (including the MAIN PWB UNIT) or BD MEC A UNIT ASSY. No mechanical adjustment is necessary after the replacement.
