The incoming caller's number is
not displayed even though you
have Caller Display.
The handset or base station does
not ring.
You keep hearing the error beep
(a descending tone).
Voice dialling does not work.
The other caller cannot hear me.
The answering machine does
not record any messages or
announcements.
An answering machine message
does not have a time stamp.
During remote operation you are
unable to access messages
You cannot record your voice
pattern for voice activation.
You cannot dial, or use the
answering machine via voice
activation.
The caller's number has been
withheld.
The ringer has been switched off.
Call Diversion has been set to
All Calls
You have pressed the wrong
button in a sequence.
You may be speaking too far
away from the handset.
There may have been too much
background noise when recording
the Voice dialling name.
You may have pressed the INT
button and muted the handset.
Memory is full.
The date/time is not set.
You have not changed the base
station PIN.
Your recordings might have
sounded too different or were
not clear enough.
Your speech or commands were
not clear enough or, you have
not recorded the voice activate
for these commands.

Switch the ringer back on.

Check the prompts in the display
or refer to instructions in the
user guide.
Move to within 20cm of the handset
microphone.
Record your Voice dialling name in
quiet surroundings.
Press the RETURN display button.
Delete old messages.
Playback and delete new messages.
Set the date/time, see page 15.
Change the base station PIN to
allow you to access messages
from another phone.
Try recording again but ensure you
speak clearly and record the words
using a similar tone.
Try speaking more closely or, ensure
voice activation is initiated.
