Automatic Filtration Cycles

A. For Models J335 to J375
Your new spa includes an 8-hour circulation pump which filters the water.
The circulation pump draws water through the skimmer bag and one of
two filter cartridges to effectively remove small debris in your spa.
Note: The 8-hour circulation pump system also supplies heated water to
the spa when the heater turns on. To set a time for the circulation pump
cycle, simply turn power on to the spa two minutes prior to the desired
time.
The control system activates a programmable filtration/heating cycle to
remove larger debris missed by the 8-hour circulation pump filtration
system. These cycles utilize pump #1 low speed and the second filter
cartridge to quickly "skim" the water of large debris and minimize their
"bath-tub ring" effect. Apart from their skimming benefit, each mode also
effects the operation of your spa's heater. Refer to Sections 11.1 and
11.2 below for additional information.
B. For Models J315 and J325
Your new spa includes a 24-hour circulation pump which filters the water
continuously. The circulation pump draws water through the skimmer bag
and one of two filter cartridges to effectively remove small debris in your
spa.
Note: The 24-hour circulation pump system also supplies heated water
to the spa when the heater turns on.
The control system activates a programmable "Standard" or "Economy"
filtration/heating cycle to remove larger debris missed by the 24-hour
circulation pump filtration system. These cycles utilize pump #1 low
speed and the second filter cartridge to quickly "skim" the water of large
debris and minimize their "bath-tub ring" effect. Apart from their skimming
benefit, each mode also effects the operation of your spa's heater. Refer
to Sections 11.1 and 11.2 below for additional information.
11.1

Standard Filtration/Heating Modes (F0-F3)

Customers in cold climates typically select standard filtration/heating
modes where heat up times are extended due to lower ambient
temperatures. In these modes, the set temperature regulates the
water temperature 24 hours a day. The heater will activate as needed
throughout the day. After the programmed set temperature is reached,
the heater turns off.
11.2

Economy Filtration/Heating Modes (F4-F6)

Customers in warm climates typically select economy filtration/heating
modes where heat up times are minimized due to higher ambient
temperatures. In these modes, the set temperature regulates the water
temperature only during a programmed filtration/heating cycle. The
heater will turn on only when there is a heat call during a programmed
filtration/heating cycle.
