3. On the underside of the OmniBook, slide the safety latch in the direction of
arrow 1, then slide the release latch in the direction of the arrow 2.
4. Gently pull the battery out of the battery compartment (arrow 3).
5. Slide the new battery into the empty bay. Slide the safety latch back to its
original, locked position (in the reverse direction of arrow 1).
Backup battery. There is a permanent, internal backup battery, which recharges
whenever you plug the ac adapter into the OmniBook. It maintains certain internal
settings, such as the clock.
Secondary battery. To increase the time you can work on battery power, you can
install a secondary battery in the plug-in module bay. Refer to the printed Reference
Guide, also available on our website.
