5.3 NETWORK INFORMATION

This is one of the "active" windows in the Information section. Here, you can see who is logged into your
NVR as well as see and test the data transmission from your NVR.

ONLINE USERS

This shows remote users who are logged into your system.
• Admin Accounts (Section 4.5) can disconnect a user.
• Users can be blocked for up to 18 hours.

LOAD

You can see the status of your NVR's network
connection.
• If you are experiencing issues with choppy video,
you can check your send and receive speeds
against those of your network using an online
speed test and adjust your substream settings if
needed. (See Section 4.1)

TEST

You can see the status of your NVR's connection
to remote cameras and save the results for
analysis. This is useful if you are experiencing
problems receiving video.
1. Enter the camera's network address found in
the Camera > Remote Window
(Picture
(see Section 4.1) into the Destination IP field.
2. Click Test.
3. Messages regarding the test will appear below
the Destination IP field.
Advanced users can analyze the network
connection by saving the "network sniffer packet"
to a USB flash drive.
1. Connect a USB drive.
2. Navigate to the location where you want to save
the sniffer packet on the USB drive.
3. Click the yellow icon at the far right to start
recording the data.
4. Click the yellow icon again to end the recording.
• Packet files will be saved in the .pcap format.
