1. As a result of the extremely high signal to noise ratio experienced in pipe propaga-
tion, the blanking may be set to 0. 1 m (4"). Normally, a minimum distance of 0.25 m
(10") may be achieved.
2. Increase Hover level (P839) to 80% to de-sensitize the instrument concerning
deposits or pipe imperfections.
