Basic remote control operations for other components
The remote
control
supplied
with this receiver
is also capable
of controlling
components
from
a variety
of manufacturers
once
you
register
the
appropriate
setup
codes
into
the
remote
control
unit.

of the drstance from whrch the remote control will operate

changrng the batteries, please re-enter the setup codes

Find the setup code of the component to be registered.

Refer to the setup code 113s to find the setup code for the
component to be regrstered

Example To regrster a DVD made by KENWOOD, you would enter
"805"

components for REMOTE MODE [(OVO, CBL,
DSS/SAT, VCR, TV, OTHERS - RC-R0725/R0727) or (DVD, CD,
CBUSAT, VCR, TV, OTHERS - RC-R0726)] keys.
0 For DVD, CD, CBL. DSSISAT, CBLISAT, VCR or TV keys;
Hold down the SOURCE 0 key and press the numeric keys to
enter the setup code.

Example Press "805" to register a DVD player manufactured by
KENWOOD
l

0 The OTHERS key enables you to operate another
DVD, CD,
CBL, DSSISAT, CBLISAT, VCR or TV component.
For OTHERS key;
Hold down the OTHERS key and press the numeric
keys to
enter the setup code.

Example After you have regrstered the KENWOOD DVD player,
press "804" to regrster another DVD player which IS manufactured
by Panasonic
l
If you push an Invalid key, the remote control wrll exrt the setup
mode
aPress
any of the REMOTE MODE key and then press the
SOURCE 0 key to check
that the component you want to
control turns on.
If the component
does not react, and there is more than one
setup code, enter another setup code and try again.

If the component IS already on, pressrng the SOURCE 6 key wrll
turn it off
ORepeat steps

all components have been registered.
Alternative REMOTE MODE key.
This operatron IS optronal and IS convenrent when you lrnk an INPUT
SELECTOR key to the REMOTE MODE key Whrle operatrng
one
component,
the INPUT SELECTOR key functrons as an alternative
REMOTE MODE key to select another component.

Example REMOTE MODE (DVD) key can be lrnked to the INPUT
SELECTOR (VIDEO I) key as described below;
0 After registering
the setup code, press and hold the SOURCE
0 key and then press the REMOTE MORE (DVD) key.
0 While
holding
down
the SOURCE 0, press the INPUT
SELECTOR (VIDEO I) key.
l
Now the VIDEO 1 key will functron as a DVD key which can be
selected at the same time whrle operatrng a CD player.
l
Repeat step 0 to @ to link other INPUT SELECTOR keys.
Note
Although each setup code IS desrgned to work wrth a number of
drfferent models, certarn codes may not work wrth some models
iAlso, certain codes may only operate some of the functrons avarIable
on a given model /
