Using the nvidia-settings Utility

Confi gure frame lock and genlock using the nvidia-settings utility. After
booting the system starting X Windows, run nvidia-settings as follows:
% nvidia-settings
From the nvidia-settings frame lock panel, you can add or remove G-
Sync (and display) devices to the frame lock/genlock group, monitor
the status of that group, and enable or disable frame lock and genlock.

How To Set Up Genlock

The following are the basic steps to genlocking a system.


Set Up the Hardware
Connect the external sync source to the BNC
connector on the graphics boards.

Set Up the Software
Use the nvidia-settings frame lock panel to establish the system as
the server, to choose the sync source, and confi gure the sync pulse.
