Ensure that you have the right type of graphics card for your system (PCI Express, AGP, or PCI) and an
available slot to install the board in.
Register Your Quadro Graphics Card
•
Before you install your card, but sure to write down the card's serial number so you can claim your
extended warranty by registering your board with PNY
•
Go to PNY's web site at

Special Precautions While Installing Your Graphics Board:
•
Before touching any electronic parts, discharge the static electricity from your body by touching the
internal metal frame of your computer while it is unplugged
•
Do not remove a board from its anti-static bag until you are ready to install it; whenever you remove a
card from your computer always place it back in its anti-static container
•
Do not let your clothing touch any electronic parts
•
When handling a board, hold it by its edges, and avoid touching its circuitry

An available PCI Express x16 slot (for x16 PCIE boards) or an x1 PCIE slot (for x1 PCIE boards), an
AGP 2.0 slot or better (for AGP boards), or a PCI expansion slot (for PCI boards)

Uninstall Your Existing VGA Driver

Remove your existing Display Driver using the 'Add or Remove Programs' Icon in the 'Control Panel'.
•
Shut down your computer.

Remove Your Existing Graphics Board (or Disable Integrated 3D Graphics Controller)
►
•
Power off the computer and any attached equipment. Unplug your computer and disconnect the
monitor cable, but note the slot where the cable was plugged in. Disconnect any other peripheral
cables necessary to enable removing the cover of the computer.
•
Locate your existing graphics board then remove the screw that holds the bracket to the chassis.
Remove the board by grasping it on the edges and pulling it out of the slot.
•
Systems with integrated (also known as on-board) 3D graphics may require you to disable the
integrated 3D graphics system. Consult the owners or vendor manual that came with your PC on how
to properly do this.
