NOTICE:
To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such
as the back panel) on the computer.

NOTE:
It is not required but is highly recommended that you remove the fan.

6. Disconnect the Mini Card cable (see
 
7. Remove the hinge cover (see
 
8. Remove the keyboard (see
 
9. Remove the display assembly (see
 
10. Remove the palm rest (see
 
11. Remove the remaining M2.5x5-mm screw from the system board.
 
12. Pull out slightly on the back right side of the computer to release the connectors on the system board from the base.
 
13. Lift the front of the system board and slowly ease the connectors out of the computer base and remove the system board.
 
14. Place the system board upside down on a clean, flat surface.
 
15. Using a #1 Phillips type screwdriver, remove the two M2x3-mm screws on the modem.
 
16. Disconnect the modem cable.
 
17. Remove the modem from the system.
