Framing and Clearances

Note:

A. Selecting Appliance Location
When selecting a location for your appliance it is important to
consider the required clearances to walls (see fi gure 3.1).
B. Clearances to Combustibles

Hudson Bay Insert
Underneath bottom of appliance to combustibles: 3/8 in. (10 mm)
16 in. (406 mm) front floor protection required 0 in. to 2-1/2 in. (64 mm) below bottom of appliance. (1/2 in. of "k" = .84)
No floor protection needed if 2-1/2 in. (64 mm) or greater from bottom of appliance.
