Port Ingress Filter - IBM BladeCenter Installation And User Manual

This window enables you to set a default priority for packets that have not already
been assigned a priority value. After entering a Priority value, click Apply to make
your changes effective.

Port Ingress Filter

Complete the following steps to display the Port Ingress Filter window:
1. Select VLANs from the Configuration menu (see "Configuration" on page 34).
2. Select 802.1Q Port Settings from the VLANs menu.
3. Select Port Ingress Filter from the 802.1Q Port Settings window.
A window similar to the following opens:
To set an Ingress Filter, select the desired port and then use the drop-down menu
to enable it. Click Apply to make your change effective.
An Ingress Filter enables the port to compare the VID tag of an incoming packet
with the both the VIDs and PVIDs of VLANs assigned to the port. If the VID tag of
an incoming port is different from either the VID or PVID assigned to the port, the
port filters (drops) the packet.
