SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This
symbol
is used to coil
your
attention
to instructions
concerning
your personal
safety,
Be sure to observe
and follow
these
instructions.
Disengage
all clutches
and shift into
neutralbefore
starting
the engine.
Watch
out for traffic
when crossing
or near
roadways.
Dis engage
power
to any attachments
and
stop
engine
before
leaving
operator's
seat
or
making
any repairs
or adjustments.
When u~ing any attachments,
never
direct
discharge
of material
toward
bystanders
nor
allow
anyone
near the machine
while
in
operation.

MANUAL.
Handle gasoline with care -it
is highly
flammable:
A. Use approved gasoline container.
B. Never remove the fuel tank cap or fill the
fuel tank when the engine is running,
is hot, or
fill the fuel tank indoors.
Als 0, do not smoke
when working around inflammable
fuel.
Wipe
up spilled gasoline.
C. Replace gasoline cap
securely...
Open doors if engine is in a
garage
-exhaust
gasses
are dangerous.
Do not allow children
or adults to operate
the equipment without
proper instructions.
Clear work area of objects which might be
picked up by the mower and thrown.
Disengage power to any attachment when
transporting
or not in use.
Use gasoline'
only as a fuel,
and never
as
a
cleaner.
Do not carry
passengers.
Keep children
and pets a safe distance
away.
Keep
machine
in good
operating
condition
and keep
safety
devices
in place.
Use guards
as instructed
in Operator1s
Manual.
Take precautions,
such as disengaging
power
take-off,
shifting
into
neutral,
settingthe
parking
brake,
stopping
the engine
and
removing
ignition
key when leaving
machine
unattended.
It is recommended
that the machine
be
stopped
and inspected
for damage
after
striking
a foreign
object
and that any damage
be re-
paired
before
restarting
and operating
themachine.
Reduce speed on slopes and in sharp turns
to prevent tipping
or los s of control.
Stay alert
for holes
in terrain
and other
hidden hazards.
Hydraulic
fluid
es caping
under pres sure
can have enough force
to penetrate
the skin.
Hydraulic
fluid
may also infect
a minor
cut or
opening
in the skin.
If injured
by escaping
fluid,see
a doctor
at once.
Serious
infection
or re-
action
can result
if medical
treatment
is not
given immediately.
Make
sure
all connections
are tight
and that hoses and lines
are in good
condition
before
applying
pressure
to the
system.
Relieve
all pressure
before
discon-
necting
the lines
or performing
other
work
on the hydraulic
system.
To find a leak under
pressure
use a small
piece
of cardboard
orwood.
Never
use hands.
Don't stop or start suddenly when going
uphill or downhill.
Use care
when pulling
loads
or using
heavy
equipment:
A.
Use only approved
drawbar
hitch points.
B. Limit
loads to those you can
safely control.
C. Don't turn too sharp, and
use care when backing.
D. Use counterweight
or wheel weights when suggested in Operator's
Manual.
