You can also set the call volume

Extra loud setting
During a conversation, the earpiece
volume can also be set to Extra
Loud:

Do not hold the handset close to
the ear when doing so.
If Extra Loud is set, Extra Loud! is
shown on the display.
After pressing the display key
at the end of the call, the volume will
automatically drop to the previously
set level.
Warning
u This setting can cause damage
to the hearing of people with
good hearing and is only
intended for people with a
hearing impairment.
u It may amplify interference
noise in the phone line.

Adjust the sound of the earpiece to
suit your requirements.
u Low: Default setting
u High: Treble emphasis setting

Changing ringers

u Volume:
Five volume levels (1–5) and
Crescendo (volume increases
with each ring) can be set.
u Melody:
List of pre-loaded ringer melo-
dies. The first three melodies are
the "classical" ringer melodies.
You can also set different ringer mel-
odies for the following functions:
u External Calls
u Internal Calls
u Alarm Clock

ringers for the base, see page 49.
Setting the ringer volume
The ringer volume is the same for all
types of ring.
In idle status:

Set the volume.
