≥SD: SD Memory Card, MultiMediaCard
≥PC: Mobile hard disk
≥Programmes, play lists and SD VIDEO (MPEG4) are registered
on the list in the order to be dubbed. (They are dubbed up to 250
programmes to HDD, 99 programmes to DVD and 999 SD
VIDEO (MPEG4) programmes to HDD/DVD.)
≥You can also dub them in High Speed mode. When using DVD-R
which is compatible with high speed recording, you can save the
time for dubbing.
≥Dubbing a play list will create a programme.
≥When you dub SD VIDEO (MPEG2) recorded by the equipment
such as the future Panasonic video cameras with "High Speed
(MPEG2)" on this unit, the SD VIDEO (MPEG2) is converted to
the compatible format for this unit, and then you can playback it.
Preparation
≥Press [HDD] to select the HDD drive. (page 19)
≥Confirm there is sufficient empty space for recording on the HDD.
(page 26)
≥When dubbing bilingual channel sound to DVD-R or dubbing
sound using LPCM, the setting at "Bilingual Audio Selection" is
given priority (page 60).
"Dub" and "dubbing" have the same meaning as "copy" in this
operating instruction.

(b) The total capacity of programme you will dub
≥In "MPEG2#4" mode, this value is based on the
estimation with the pictures of the largest information.
When dubbing pictures with less motions, you may dub
the programme if this exceeds "Total" in some cases.
Refer to "When a SD VIDEO (MPEG4) is recorded on
Panasonic SD Memory Card" (page 33).

(d) "Estimated destination storage" (appears only when "High
Speed (MPEG4)" is set.):
≥The rate of the SD VIDEO (MPEG4) registered in the
dubbing list against the capacity of the dubbing.
[3] Select "Dubbing direction" with [3, 4]
and press [ENTER].

≥When you select the source drive, the possible
destination drive is automatically displayed.
(2) Use [3, 4] to select the destination drive and press

direction", the possible
recording mode is
automatically displayed.

[ENTER].

with [2, 1].
≥When there
are folders on
mobile hard disk other than displayed, you can move
them with [:, SKIP] or [9, SKIP].
(4) Use [3, 4] to select the programme or play list for
dubbing and press [ENTER].
≥To register more, repeat steps 5-(2) to 5-(4) (Check that
the dubbing list "Total" does not exceed the "Remain"
indicated).
≥You can also select the programme or play list with the
numeric buttons.
[6] Press [RETURN] to store.
≥The screen shown in step 2 reappears.
