Operation / Cleaning and Maintenance / Disposal
Applying wax / polish with the terry bonnet:
1. Always use high quality products for waxing.
j F ollow the working methods given on the
packaging.
2. A pply the wax / polish directly on the working
surface of the terry bonnet
.

j S pread the wax / polish so that it forms a thin,
even, complete coating over the terry bonnet
Note: Too much wax does not necessarily
achieve a better finish and you will have to
spent more time later removing the coating.
3. S pread the wax evenly right up to the edge of
the terry bonnet

Note: Do not exert additional pressure on the appli-
ance! The appliance's own weight supplies sufficient
surface pressure during the work process.
Switching on the device and waxing / polishing
the paintwork:
Note: The paintwork to be polished must be carefully
cleaned and completely dry. If necessary, use a
paintwork cleaner. Use products that are appropriate
for the demands on and condition of your paintwork
Heavily oxidised paintwork will require the use of
a special cleaner. For this use a combined product
(cleaner + wax).
1. P lace the cordless buffing machine on the surface
to be buffed.
Note: To avoid the splattering of wax or polish,
do not switch the appliance on yet.
Dab the appliance a few times at various points
on the area to be buffed.
In this way you can ensure that excess wax /
polish is once more distributed evenly over the
terrycloth bonnet and the area to be buffed.
2. T ake both appliance grips
firmly in your

hands and switch the appliance on by pressing
the On / Off switch
(see also Fig. B).

3. G uide the cordless buffing machine evenly over
the paint finish (see also Fig. C).
4. S witch the appliance off before you remove it
from the area being buffed. To do this, release
the On / Off switch

j N on-reachable corners and depressions must
be finished off by hand. For these, use the

j W hen working, always follow the instructions
for use of the wax / polish.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The appliance is maintenance-free.
Note: Before cleaning, first remove the battery pack
from the appliance.
m Warning! Ensure that no fluids can permeate
into the appliance, this could lead to the destruction
of the product.
j U se a slightly moist cloth to clean the housing,
if necessary with a mild detergent.
j W hen cleaning the housing, under no circum-
stances should you use strong detergents,
solvents or abrasives.
j C lean the bonnet by washing by hand in
soapy water.
Disposal
T he packaging is made entirely of recyclable
materials, which you may dispose of at local
recycling facilities.
Do not dispose of electrical appliances
in household waste.
In accordance with European Directive 2002 / 96 / EC
on used electrical and electronic appliances and its
implementation in national law, used power tools
must be collected separately and recycled in an
ecologically compatible manner.
Faulty or used rechargeable batteries must be recycled
in accordance with Directive 91 / 17 / EEC.
Information on options for disposing of electrical
appliances after their useful life can be obtained
from your local or city council.
