    Seller’s obligation under this warranty is limited to WELLS MFG. CO. is warranted against defects in materials the repair of defects without charge by a Wells Mfg. Co. factory and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of authorized service agency or one of its sub-service agencies.

    May be connected to either hot or cold water line. Temperature of a hot water line must not exceed 140ºF. DO NOT use a saddle valve to connect Water-Max™ to main supply line. Connecting to a hot water line will increase the volume flow of the dispenser.

    OPERATION USING WATER-MAX™ WARNING: BURN HAZARD Water-Max™ is used to dispense hot water for food preparation. Water-Max™ is designed to operate with a matching 5 gal. Set-Up and Usage water tank only. Install the water tank on the Water-Max™ shelf.

    Wipe water input nozzle with a clean, damp, sanitized-soaked towel. • Wipe down entire unit with a clean, damp, sanitizer-soaked towel. Reinstall tank. • Reinstall tank on Water-Max shelf. Press power switch to the ON position.

    DELIMING INSTRUCTIONS Deliming Water-Max CAUTION: It is time to delime the Water-Max™ when: BURN HAZARD • The DELIME indicator light glows; or,. • The water nozzle temperature is consistently below 197°F. Water in Water-Max EXTREMELY HOT! 1. Drain 1 GALLON from TANK.

    Turn Power OFF. Wait 20 seconds • Turn power ON. • If error code does not reset, contact the National Service Cooperative at 1-800-298-1862 for the Wells Authorized Service Agency nearest you. Order LIMESHIELD Scale and Food Soil Inhibitor using PCN 0021023.

    SAFETY FEATURES CAUTION: SHOCK HAZARD Water-Max™ will not flow water from the dispense nozzle unless the water tank is in place. (Error lamp and audible alarm on continuously.) Removal of the top, front or Water-Max™ will not dispense into a full water tank.

    CALIBRATING TEMPERATURE Remove TOP PANEL. Insert the thermocouple of a digital thermometer CAUTION at least 4” into DISPENSER NOZZLE. SHOCK HAZARD Install WATER TANK under DISPENSER NOZZLE. Press POWER SWITCH to ON. Removal of the top, front or side panels results in Run and discard at least one full tank of hot water to allow dispenser exposed electrical circuits.
  • Page 23 Re-adjust TEMP OFFSET until the water at the spout is a steady 204ºF (minimum). Reinstall the support cover. Turn Water-Max™ OFF. Remove the thermocouple. Drain and remove the tank. Reinstall the plastic cover on the tank. Reinstall the tank on the tank shelf. Turn POWER SWITCH ON.
