Transmission Oil - Cannondale E440 2003 Owner's Manual

TRANSMISSION OIL

Recommended viscosity: SAE 80W or 85W
Capacity (dry fill): 600cc (0.85 US qt.)
CAUTION :
Maintain correct oil level.
Change oil and clean the filter in accordance
with the maintenance schedule.
NOTE :
Check the oil level when the engine is cold.
Checking the transmission oil level
1. Place the motorcycle upright on a work stand.
2. Inspect the oil level in the inspection window.
The level should be visible in the window.
Maintain the oil level between the "LOW" and
"HIGH" as indicated.

CAUTION :
To add, remove the cap and pour the specified
transmission oil at the filler hole to raise it to
the correct level in the window. Clean around
cap before removing it.
Use a clean funnel.
