TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE ________________________________________

SYMPTOM
Hum or "Buzzing" through
speakers
"Popping or Spitting" noise
AC fuse blows
Tube fuse blows
CAUSE
Ground Loop
Intermittent or poor connection of
interconnect ground
Noisy tube
Line voltage surge
CV729 shorted
Shorted output tube

REMEDY
Install 2-pin adapter on
A.C. cord to float the
Ground
Replace interconnect
If noise is in one channel, through
the speaker swap one section of
tubes at a time until the noise
swaps channels. Replace noisy
tube.
Check bias of output tubes. If high
or fluctuating rapidly, replace
output tube.

Replace tube
