Folders

You can record data to the internal memory or SD card. Regardless of the recording media
selected, voice files, music files and content files are sorted and saved in folders using a
hierarchical tree structure. The saved files can be resorted in the order you prefer (☞ P.66).

Folders for voice recordings

Sound files recorded by the voice recorder
are saved in the folders labeled [Folder A] to
[Folder E] in the [Recorder] folder.
You can change the name of [Folder A] to
[Folder E] (☞ P.61).
Select the mode in the [Home]

screen.

Each folder can store up to 999 files.

Folder E
Recordings made with the
microphone are saved here.
Files and folders placed directly within the
[Recorder] folder (not within one of the sub-folders)
are not displayed by the voice recorder.

Folders for music playback

When music files created using Windows
Media Player are transferred to the voice
recorder, folders are created automatically for
them within the folder for music playback,
using the hierarchical structure shown below.

[Music] folder.
• You can transfer up to 6000 songs to the [Music]
folder.
