Working with your notebook
Assigning a user password

Double-click on the Add-On Software folder on the Desktop.

Double click on the Security Panel Application folder.
Ê
Double-click on FJSECU.EXE to begin installation of the user password application.
Follow the instructions in the dialogue box.
Examples of possible password combinations
"1" + Enter
"1" + "2" + Enter
"1" + "2" + "3" + Enter
"1" + "2" + "3" + "4" + Enter
"1" + "2" + "3" + "4" + "5" + Enter
("1"+"2") + ("1" + "2" + "3" ) + ("1" + "2" + "3" + "4" ) + "1" + "2" + Enter

("1" + "2") means that the key "1" and "2" must be pressed simultaneously.
"Enter" refers to the Enter key of the Security Panel under the LCD screen.
Password error alarm
If a password is entered incorrectly three times, a one-minute alarm is triggered. If the correct
password is entered during the alarm, the notebook starts up normally.
After one minute the notebook stops the alarm and the indicator lamp goes out. The user must
press the Suspend/Resume button again to start or Resume.
After pressing the Suspend/Resume button, the notebook will still be locked and the indicator lamp
will light up again; the user must now enter the correct user password. If the entry is correct, the
notebook will start.
BIOS Setup settings - Wake on Ring, Wake ON LAN and Timer
Resume
The Security Panel Application will not be activated by the following: Wake on ring, Wake ON LAN
Timer resume, the notebook will boot normally, without a password being entered.
