3-4 Setting Cutting Conditions

Spindle Speed

NOTICE
 Adjust the spindle speed to match the material being engraved. Depending on the material, a spindle speed that is too
fast may cause the material to melt.
Turn the rpm knob on the control panel to change the spindle speed.

Cutting Speed

Turn the SPEED knob on the control panel to change the cutting speed (tool-movement speed.) Although the appropriate
setting may vary depending on the tool and the type of material, use the following settings as a guide.
Engraving
Normally, you set the value at
this position or a slower one.
When you're using an engraving
cutter that has a narrow blade (the
ZEC-A2013), set the value at this
position or a slower one.
Scoring
The tool-lowering speed also changes accordingly.
When the values set within the application software or the driver are sent after adjusting the cutting speed on the EGX-30A,
the software and driver values are changed. Conversely, you can also change the cutting speed by rotating the knobs on the
EGX-30A after starting a cutting operation using the software and driver values.
