ASSISTED PARKING BRAKE
Versions with an automatic
gearbox
For safety reasons, the automatic re-
lease of the parking brake is deacti-
vated if the driver's door is open or
incorrectly shut when the engine is run-
ning. A beeping sound draws your at-
tention to this and the 'gear lever in po-
sition P or N' message is displayed on
the instrument panel.
Never leave your vehicle
without moving the selec-
tor lever to position P or N.
This is because when the
vehicle is stationary with the engine
running and a gear engaged, the
vehicle may begin to move if you
accelerate.
There is a risk of accidents.
