Brakes are items of personal safety and
should always be maintained in proper

adjustment.
The distance the front brake lever ( ) 1
moves before the brake starts to engage is
called freeplay.
Measured at the tip of the front brake lever,
freeplay should be maintained at:
10 20 mm (0.4 0.8 in)
Adjust the freeplay of the brake lever with
the front wheel pointed straight ahead.
