SECTION 5—ARMS

Using Flip Back Armrest

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.2.
1. Unlock the flip back armrest by pressing the release lever toward the front of the wheelchair.
2. Pull the front of the flip back armrest straight up and out of the front arm socket and rotate towards the rear of the
wheelchair.
Make sure the flip back armrest is in the locked position before using the wheelchair.
3. Rotate the flip back armrest towards the front of the wheelchair and then downward into the front arm socket.
NOTE: Armrest is locked into armrest socket when "audible" click is heard.

Removing/Installing the Flip Back Arm

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.3 on page 25.
Removing
1. Push the release lever toward the front of the chair and remove the front of the flip back arm out of the front arm socket.
2. While pulling back on the plunger knob, pull flip back arm up and out of the front and rear arm sockets.
Installing
1. Install flip back arm into front and rear arm sockets.
NOTE: Ensure that the release lever and plunger pin secure the flip back arm in place.
NOTE: Armrest is locked into armrest socket when "audible" click is heard.
2. Pull up on flip back arm to ensure arm is locked in place.
