Before you can begin the sizing process, you must have a thorough understanding of the

network, the type of data to be backed up, and the back-up window parameters. The easiest and

most precise way to size an Enterprise Backup System is to use the Compaq StorageWorks

Enterprise Backup Solution sizer software, which may be obtained from the Internet at
