This section covers the additional sonar options for the
GPSMAP 192C when used in conjunction with a Sounder Module.
Read the Installation Instructions to properly install the Sounder
Module.
NOTE: You MUST have a Sounder Module installed and
connected to your GPSMAP 192C to use the sonar features.
When a Sonar Module, such as the GSD 20, and a transducer are
connected to the GPSMAP 192C, the Sonar page is added to the
page sequence. To view the Sonar page, press PAGE or QUIT
repeatedly until it is displayed.

Sonar Page

The Sonar page is where your GPSMAP 192C Sounder becomes
a powerful fishfinder/flasher. Fish are displayed as colored arches
or as fish icons. Both fish icons and arches are displayed in three
different sizes. Thermoclines are shown as shades of blue. The area
of strongest sonar return is displayed as solid white (if Whiteline
is active. Typically, the bottom is the primary whiteline. A thin
whiteline indicates a soft bottom and a thick whiteline follows the
contour of the bottom and show any objects of reasonable size.
