Shirring with the Gathering Foot

Gathering fabric means to draw the fabric up on a thread to create fullness.
Shirring consists of three or more rows of gathers. Use only sheer or soft
fabrics for this technique. The specially designed Shirring Foot pushes fabric
into even folds under the needle. The stitch then holds the fabric folds securely.
