If route guidance is active, you are
notified only when the vehicle
approaches a POI which is located
next to a road on the calculated route.
If route guidance is inactive, you are
notified when the vehicle approaches
a POI which is located next to the road
you are currently driving on.
Additionally you are notified when the
vehicle approaches a POI which is
located next to an adjacent road, and
if the system considers it very
probable that you will turn into that
road next.
Setting up the myPOIs announcer
Press the CONFIG button, select
Navigation settings and then select
myPOIs announcement.
A menu is displayed that shows the
POI categories currently stored in the
myPOIs memory.
You can now determine, which of the
displayed POI categories should be
considered by the myPOIs announcer
for later notifications.
Select a POI category. The menu
shown below is displayed.
You can now determine in which
relative distance to POIs of the
selected category you want to be
notified when approaching them.
Select Announce POIs early if you
want to be notified already when the
vehicle is still relatively far away
(approx. 400 metres) from the
location of the regarding POI.
Select Announce POIs late if you
want to be notified only when the
vehicle is already relatively close
(approx. 200 metres) to the location
of the regarding POI.
